PEEKSKILL CELEBRATION 2010
100.7 WHUD is proud to be one of the sponsors of Peekskill Celebration. Now in its 14th year, Peekskill Celebration is the largest festival in the Hudson Valley, attracting over 20,000 people from as far away as New Jersey and Connecticut and as close by as Cortlandt Manor and Putnam Valley. Following a one-year-only change in date, Peekskill Celebration returns in 2010 to its traditional first weekend in August 6-8. Admission to Riverfront Green Park is FREE!
Peekskill Celebration 2010 will feature family entertainment, unrivaled fireworks sponsored by Entergy and set to music on 100.7 WHUD , colorful Dragon Boat Races, fantastic food, and so much more!
On Friday, August 6th , don't miss the Main Stage Kick-Off Concert at 6 pm at Riverfront Green Park with Professor Louie & The Cromatix with a local opening act hosted by WHUD's Tom Furci!
On Saturday, August 7th , there will be activities throughout the City of Peekskill, including the Jan Peek 10K Race & 2 mile Fun Walk, a Farmer's Market and Underground Railroad Tours. The highlight of the day will be the Entergy Fireworks Extravaganza at Riverfront Green Park and Charles Point Park. Hosted by WHUD's Mike Bennett, the fireworks will begin at approx. 9:15 am presented by Garden State Fireworks and set to music simulcast on 100.7 WHUD!

BETHEL WOODS CENTER FOR THE ARTS
This summer you will find an exciting concert line-up at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Located 90 miles from New York City at the site of the original Woodstock festival in Bethel , New York is a 15,000-seat outdoor performing arts venue. The main pavilion covers 4,500 seats with another 10,500 seats available on a natural sloping lawn with unique backdrops including the original festival site. Look for the new Museum at Bethel Woods. 100.7 WHUD is once again joining the Westchester County Parks Department to present “Screening Under the Stars 2010” Outdoor Movies at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla on Thursday July 8th and on Thursday August 19th . Gates open at 5 pm for picnicking. Entertainment starts at 6 pm with the movie beginning at sunset. Free admission and parking. Carpooling is suggested.
